Tamboti Vreugde is a 3-star holiday resort, located in the Dinokeng Big 5 Conservation Reserve about 45 minutes outside of Pretoria via the N1 highway, near Hammanskraal.  The resort is divided into 3 main camps, all three are enclosed in an electrified fence and a secondary camp fence, keeping you safe and the wildlife outside.


Here you can recharge your batteries and discover the joy of the wilderness in the peace and quiet given by nature. We have 72 power points, shady  grass stands with 4 easily accessible ablutions blocks.  You can also stay in one of our 6 airconditioned thatched chalets, equipped with a "DSTV compact" package, private boma and shaded parking.





The 6 bed chalet has two separate rooms. Each room has a double bed and one room has bunker beds as well. Both these rooms have their own bathrooms -  there is a family bathroom that separate the main area and the one airconditioned bedroom.


The kitchen has a  fridge, 2 plate stove, microwave, ect. and the living room has air conditioning & "DSTV Compact" package. There is a nice porch and a private boma. This self service chalet is fully equipped with bedding, towels, cutlery ect.


Please bring your own towels for swimming.

Tariff is R1575.00 per night – minimum of 2 nights.

This 8 bed chalet has 2 rooms, each with a double bed and single bed, with 2 extra single beds in the spacious open plan living area. It has a big porch and grass covered area, thatched roof, air conditioned & "DSTV Compact" package.


This self service chalet  is fully equipped – please bring  own towels for swimming.

Tariff is R2100.00 per night – minimum 2 nights.

Vaalbos | Boekenhout | Geelhak | Karee

These 4 X 4  bed chalets have one bedroom  -  each with double bed and two single beds in the open plan living  area, airconditioning and DSTV Compact package, a bathroom, separate toilet and a beautiful kitchen, thatched roof, small  private garden with boma and shaded parking.


Tariff is R1050.00 per night for 3 – 4 people or R800 per night for only 2 people – minimum of 2 nights

Caravan / Tent Sites

The park is covered mostly with grass, water taps all around the park, with portable "braai's"  and trash bins, cleaned every day. The park has four beautiful ablution blocks with three family bathrooms, cleaned three times per day. We have two lapa's, one with Tv and a boma situated inside the park free to use for all the guests. There are two splash pools and a kiddies pool, also a sun heated indoor swimming pool for those colder days. (Swimming pool for chalets also available).


There is a dam for fishing in walking distance (+- 30 meters from the caravan park) - CATCH & RELEASE ONLY. We have a playground for the kids as well as a volleyball court, also a tuckshop where you can buy Wood, Ice, Icecream, coldrinks, sweets, chips ect.

This camp site is situated about 1 km from the main camp.


This is a 12 sleeper guest house with 3 bedrooms and an open plan living area, spacious kitchen and living room, airconditioning, tv with DSTV Compact package, big swimming pool, braai area,  lapa, and separate ablution block.


Tariff is R400.00 per person per night, kids between  age 11 and 6 years pay R200.00 per night and under 5 years stay free.

Minimum of 2 nights.  Facilities at main camp also at your disposal.

Bosveld Vreugde is a youth/group camp site for church/school groups or families, consisting of 2 bungalows with enough beds for 25 boys & 25 girls with their own ablution blocks. We don’t provide bedding here, the guests must bring their own bedding, cutlery ect.


Tariff for bungalo’s is R120.00 per person per night.


Chapel & Reception Hall

Lapa's & Boma

We have a chapel (seats 120  people) and a reception hall, kitchen and walk-in fridge for weddings or conferences and other events and lots of accommodation for the guests.

We have two lapa's, one with Tv and a boma situated inside the park free to use for all the guests.

Indoor Heated Pool

We have a heated pool covered by a thatched roof. The pool is heated by the sun to make the water warmer than our outdoor pools.
